Your vital part as a member of the Oasis team is:
- Provide great care to our residents.
- Prepare and administer medications per physicians’ orders.
- Count, procure, administer, and document controlled substances.
- Document administration of medications in accordance with Oasis policy.
- Obtain authorization from the licensed nurse on duty prior to administering as needed (PRN) medications.
- Observe and report to the licensed nurse reactions and side effects to medications exhibited by a resident.
- Procure and chart necessary vital signs indicators on all residents as needed.
- Provide support and guidance for residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, personal hygiene, and laundry.
- Lead/Participate in engagement/activities with residents in our community
- Assisting with meal services
- Work collaboratively with you team by documenting your caregiving task in our Care Connect app.
What you need to become part of the Oasis Team
- Must be a dedicated and compassionate caregiver
- Successful completion of a state-approved Medication Aide course and written competency examination, maintain annual in-service requirements, and hold a current active Indiana QMA license.
- Ability to think and work independently as well as with direction.
- Communicate with staff members in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
